On Sept. 8, 2009 the new road was under major renovation and it has served our association very well. Deep ditches should remove the melt water very well.

Powder Jan. 28, 2010


At 1 pm Jan. 28 there is 6-7" of powder on the road. Some drifting snow in open areas. Snow cover on the rink is insulating the ice and making it too soft to walk on.

Slush Jan. 26


Two inches of snow over the last 24 hours has created about 3" of slush on the lake. No snowmachines heard or seen on lake.

Mill Hill Jan. 25, '10


Mill Hill is very icy. One truck slipped off the road onto the west side of the hill. The difficulty in getting back onto the road can be seen from about two thirds of the way up the hill to the bottom. Truck was pulled out with a block and tackle.

Parts of road are lacking snow cover. Hills are slippery but still passable with ATVs in morning.

On the lake


Many snowmobiles travel to a cliff about 1 km south of the causeway on the east side of the lake to take photographs.

Road plowed


Road plowed to island yesterday pm. Snow depth in forest 17".
